The Beginning
To be very honest, we visited the Pakistani Hindus refugee camp accidently and we found the atmosphere there was very disturbing and painful. Being poor is one thing but being in this trying condition is completely different thing. We listened to their stories and suffering all through these years, there life in Pakistan, their religious persecution to seek asylum in India, their stories after coming to India. The amount of pain and torture they have experienced is beyond our any anticipation.
The Documentary
After helping and knowing them for a few months to our potential, we decided to make a detailed documentary on their plight, a story that needs to be said on the global platform to raise the necessary awareness and thus the necessary attention.
Why the Documentary?
No matter how much we write articles and notes, no matter how much we explain, but the power of an audio-visual is something different. It is the most convincing medium to strike a chord. It is direct from the victim’s perspective that other mediums don’t really possess.
What after that?
We will promote it globally. We’ll hire digital agencies, as we all know the power of new media i.e. digital media; it connects the world into one. We are in talks with various organizations and they have promised us in promotions. Hindu Human Rights and other few Organizations are lending their support currently. We are in talks with few Universities to arrange events. We’ll roam to multiple cities; we’ll show these youngsters the video to spread awareness. The idea is the mass appeal and support to build the required pressure to the concerned authorities. There are many big companies and individuals, who will only get convinced for the support if they can see the story. We’ll also try to feature our video in a few TV News and FM shows. Our target is this.
The Profit (If any)
We have plans for the camp like fencing, distribution of fans, mattresses, Books, tenting etc. We will support them in small businesses.
The Ultimate Target
The citizenship will take its due time and it’s a legal procedure. We want basic living for them like food, safety, security, education, sanitation, shelter etc. We want “work permit” for them.
We seek you Support
Please help us in making it possible. We have started crowdfunding for this.
